Many an artist would give anything to be featured in just a single PBS Special, but Daniel has now featured in nine such Specials and these have been watched by literally millions of viewers throughout America and Canada. The latest one was recorded 'Live' at the Tri-Lakes Centre, Branson, Missouri on 24th November 2008.

The Tri-Lakes Centre is Branson's largest multi-purpose facility with a seating capacity for 2200 people, and on the night when Daniel appeared there was not a single empty seat. The stage setting was quite magnificent and Daniel was backed by the 24 member Central Bible College Coral Department whose vocal harmonies were awe inspiring, 12 members from the Tri-Lakes Centre Church Children's Choir, an18 piece orchestra conducted by Pam Davis, along with Daniel's own 7 piece band with further vocal harmonies coming from Trionagh Moore and Leon McCrum who have been Daniel's touring and recording singers for over twenty years. And then, of course, there was the beautiful and talented Mary Duff who joined Daniel for one duet and who found herself in the spotlight for two more solo numbers.

In all there are 25 songs which are most appropriately described as songs of 'Hope And Praise'. Despite the magnificent stage setting, the wonderful choirs, the superb orchestration and the rapturous applause from his audience at the end of every song, Daniel displays an air of humility, a sense of total commitment and an unquestionable belief in every note he sings and every move that he makes on stage. He opens his programme with Kris Kristofferson's heartfelt 'Why Me Lord', setting the tone for all that is to follow. The hour and forty minute performance is far more than simply a gospel show because Daniel includes what some may think of as 'secular' songs, such as 'What A Wonderful World', 'Any Dream Will Do' or 'Annie's Song', but these fit in perfectly with the overall theme of Hope and Praise. It would be impossible to nominate 'highlights' from the performance because Daniel puts his heart and soul into the delivery of each and every song so whether it be the heart-warming 'Any Dream Will Do' or the plaintive 'A Little Peace' on which Daniel is joined by the exuberant young singers from the Tri-Lakes Centre Church Children's Choir, the sweet harmonies of Daniel and Mary as they sing 'Whispering Hope' together, the zestful 'Put Your Hand In The Hand', on which Leon McCrum revels in being allowed to sing the opening verse, or the stirring 'Rivers Of Babylon' where the combined choirs offer the most uplifting vocals, fans will decide for themselves which are their favourite performances although, after a couple of viewings, the chances are that they too will regard all 25 songs as their favourites!

Daniel has a very good reason for deciding to offer his fans the type of performance that he has, as he explains:

“ In 2004 PBS recorded a show called 'Songs Of Faith'. That proved to be tremendously popular and lots of people asked if we would record another show similar to that. It seems that both in America and the UK the inspirational albums and DVDs which have been released have proved to be very popular. Even if the world has become very 'modern' with all the high tech and sophistication, I believe that lots of people are searching for something which is gradually being lost; perhaps the values which were accepted, without question, fifty years ago. I feel that people are looking back and yearning for those values to return and I believe that, in some way, 'Hope And Praise' might remind us all of what those values are.”

The complete list of songs featured on 'Hope And Praise' are, 'Why Me, Lord', 'Love, Hope And Faith', 'Morning Has Broken', 'Let There Be Peace', 'Footsteps', 'What A Wonderful World', 'Any Dream Will Do', 'Voice Of An Angel' (Mary Duff), 'Abide With Me', 'Put Your Hand In The Hand', 'Hail Glorious St. Patrick', 'Children's Band', 'When Hope Dawns At Sunrise', 'I Believe', 'I'll Fly Away', 'Whispering Hope' With Mary Duff), 'Will You Walk With Me' (Mary Duff), 'A Little Peace', 'Beyond The Rainbow's End', 'Annie's Song', 'The Greatest Love', 'Marriage Of A Lifetime', 'You'll Never Walk Alone', 'Rivers Of Babylon', and God Be With You'
